My tongue, mouth and back of throat are dry, doctors and ENT don’t know why?
I am 27, male. For about a year I’ve been experiencing dry mouth, mostly before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning. It’s mostly my tongue that is dry, but sometimes it’s my whole mouth and the back of my throat.
I have been to multiple doctors, including two ENT’s, and no one can seem to figure out whats wrong. I’ve had a full blood test taken as well as tested for Sjogren’s diseases, all negative. No other symptoms seem to be affecting me. I eat healthy, a high fat, low carb diet. I drink lots of water but that doesn’t seem to help.
Hoping someone can help.
It is good ruling out sjorgen syndrome..Some common causes include nervousness, stress, certain medications, and bacterial growths as they usually cause dryness to survive.
I recommend gargling with good oral solution.brushing teeth drinking plenty of water and reducing stress and nervousness by yoga and nose deep breathing exercises.
Hope this helps..thanks
In my opinion you need to test fot HIV , also check your thyroid levels , also
Do you take antidepressant medications ? They can cause dry mouth as they r usually anti histaminics
this may be related to a hormonal change that may be related to a underlying pathology.
deficiency of vitamin B3 and B6 can cause these symptoms.
start on vitamin supplements.
consult a endocrinologist.
IT MAY BE DUE TO THE DIET YOU TAKE.
TRY CHANGING THE DIET THAT YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING.
EAT PLENTY OF FRUITS , HAVE DINNER ATLEAST 3 HOURS BEFORE GOING TO BED.
SALINE WATER GARGLES AFTER GETTNG UP FROM BED IN EARLY MORNING CAN HELP.
mucosal dryness can occur as a side effect of the medicines that you may be taking.
electrolyte imbalance can also cause dryness, especially sodium .
get blood electrolytes checked.
