My son is 8 months old and coughs all the time and has a hard tummy?
My son is 8 months old and coughs all the time, he has a rumble in the back and also a hard tummy with rumbles. He wakes at night and I cycle his legs, rub his tummy etc and at night he will finally settle after he has passed wind his bottom end. He struggles to pass wind the bottom end and will cry and cough until he has. The doctors have given him ranitidine, omeprazole and an inhaler but none of these work. Should he be struggling this much to pass wind? I’ve also tried over the counter remedies like infacol, colief etc but none work.
What kind of milk your baby takes?
Does it happen with all foods or just a difinite food?
It is normal for children in his age to get these symptoms and they usually disappear with baby development and walking…
Try massaging his feet.
Massage his abdomen with oil from right to left downwards.
OTC antiflatulence and warm mint drink helps. Regularly..
If your baby started eating solid food recently or formula milk then it is common to have constipation , which then goes away .
You can try fix the problem adding little punce juce to the milk and increase his water intake
He will be fine Good Luck
He has aptamil powdered milk in the Dr Brown’s bottles, I’ve tried changing milk but this doesn’t change anything. It happens with most foods but I am going to start a food diary as I think there are foods which make him worse. I will definitely try the prune juice. Thank you so much for answering, it means a lot 🙂
