  1. hi
there is a bony piece on the dorsum of the joint definitely. this bony piece is causing irritation of the joint synovium causing the swelling. an old injury to foot may have caused this. it has to be surgically removed if its causing trouble. thanks

  2. HI
ITS NOT A NORMAL FINDING TO HAVE SUCH A BONY PIECE AT THE JOINT. OLD INJURY OR A CALCIFIED CALCIUM DEPOSIT CAN MIMMICK THIS CONDITION.
GET BLOOD CALCIUM AND VITAMIN D LEVELS CHECKED . TAKE ANTI INFLAMMATORY MEDICINES TO REDUCE THE SWELLING

  3. hello there
a uric acid calculus can be deposited at metatarsophalyngel joint . if you have a history of hyperuricemia, then long standing cases may have these calcified uric acid calculi, just like those seen in kidneys. strapping and rest of the concerned part is useful. get serum uric acid checked

  4. Abnormally present bone that could be calcified deposits due to calcium crystals or increased uric acid…
Check calcium and uric acid levels…
This should be treated initially with shock wave therapy then ..surgery if no result…
