My right eye is reddish, is this pinkeye?

I woke up up yesterday with my right eye reddish in color today it is still reddish. Is this pinkeye and if so should I get it checked out?

  1. Hello. Yes. Usually it is conjunctivitis. If caused by a virus it will resolve by itself within a few days. If bacterial it will require antibiotic drops. Redness when accompanied with pain, loss of vision or heavy green or yellowish discharge can be the indication of a more serious underlying problem and requires consultation.
