My 8-month-old daughter just developed this sore/rash on her scalp?

My 8-month-old daughter just developed this sore/rash on her scalp. I can’t tell if it’s eczema, cradle cap, or psoriasis. Her father suffers from plaque psoriasis as well, so I’m a little concerned. Is there a cream or anything I can use? A friend suggested colloidal silver as well. Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. In my opinion it is Tinea capitis,(ringworm)
Usually i would prescribe the medications but i do not know the right doses for an 8 month old child
I recommend you see a dermatologist

    Good Luck

  2. This could really be eczema or psoriasis .
    The dermatologist can confirm it.
simple remedies — like adding oil to bathwater or using a good moisturizer on the skin — can also help.
If your baby’s psoriasis become more severe, it may need to be treated with light therapy or even oral medication. If itching is a problem, the doctor may also prescribe antihistamines, and if it looks like there’s a bacterial infection (from scratching the rash, for example), she’ll prescribe oral antibiotics.
    Thanks..

  3. hi
    this is a ringworm infection.
rather uncommon at this age though.
see if proper hygiene is maintained when you handle the bay.
    maintain clean environment.
    apply local creams.
    consult a dermatologist.
    thanks

  4. HI
    THIS IS FUNGAL INFECTION.
ANTIFUNGAL CREAM APPLICATION LOCALLY WILL HELP.
CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST IF THE RASH DOESNT IMPROVE.
DO NOT RUB OR SCRATCH THE LESION.

  5. hello there

if it does not show any signs of improvement,do consult a dermatologist.
