My 19 month old son has a rash on belly migrating down towards legs?
My son has has this rash for going on 3-4 weeks now. He has no other symptoms other than a runny nose off and on, no fever what so ever. It does itch, but it’s manageable I think. He is almost 19 months old. It is mostly on his thighs and belly, but has also migrated slowly down his leg and on his left arm. I have taken him to the doctor twice. First they gave him a steroid cream and we used it for almost 2 weeks. Next they gave him a fungal cream we have been using since Tuesday with no relief.
hi
this seems to be an allergic rash for sure. any infective rash would have been associated with fever.
if local creams are not helping, the he should be given anti allergic/anti histaminic medicines orally with similar creams. try finding out in the nearby surroundings, what may be causing the allergy.
consult a dermatologist if symptoms do not inmprove.
thanks
