Major complaint is upper stomach pain(not nausea) middle to right side?
44 year old female, history of gallbladder removal, fundal plycation, mild gastritis. Last endoscopy 18 months ago, off and on nausea for 3 years made somewhat better by removal of gallbladder. Major complaint is upper stomach pain(not nausea) middle to right side that goes around to the middle of my back for about the last 10 days. Pain can come and go but can get very painful. What do I do now? What could possibly be wrong now? Medications: Prozac, Phenergen(PRN), Bystolic(blood pressure), propanalol, ibuprofen, Excedrin,Primidone(for tremors)
In my opinion the pain sites may indicate another gastritis attack,or pancreatitis ..
You should do an abdominal USG to detect any problem and get the right treatment..
Try reducing analgesics intake .
Avoid caffeine for ulcer possibility.
Thanks.
In my opinion you have pancreatitis
I recommend that you so serum amylase and lipase , CBC
Also check CA 19-9 (blood test )
Notice that your drugs can be the cause of your pancreatitis
Good Luck
hi
this may have something to do with your gall bladder surgery.
liver functions may be affected.
other possibility is of GERD.
Taking antacids may help.
get LFTs checked.
thanks
HI
PANCREATITIS AND GERD SEEM MORE LIKELY.
GET PANCREATIC AMYLASE AND ENDOSCOPY DONE.
hello there
gastritis or hiatus hernia needs consideration here.
get a GI endoscopy done.
tablets like ondensetron, domperidone will be helpful along with antacids.
Pancreatitis seems to be the most likely diagnosis…
Keep an eye on drugs you r using
Discuss with your doctor another options
Do serum amylase and lipase to confirm or rule out pancreatitis
Best regards
