I was recently diagnosed with HSV-1. But on my test results it says positive and negative. And I would like to know what this means. I recently had the flu, but they were no cold sores at all. Could I have been misdiagnosed? I will really appreciate your response. Thank you!

Your test results mean you have HSV 1 but it’s not acute so may not experience any symptoms

Are you sexually active?
No you are not misdiagnosed ,but you may not have typical symptoms as it is not recent ingection.
