I think I may have septic shock, I’m extremely weak, can’t sleep, fever?

I’m 26, female and I think I may have septic, I don’t have a family doctor, and want to know if I’m in danger. I have had knots come up in the crease of my leg and get big and hurt bad, sometimes they pop with green yellow stuff that smells terrible. That has been going on for about a year or so. I have had a very high heart rate the highest was 186 lowest was 128. I have MVP since birth. I had my OBGYN take blood when the knots kept coming and she found out I have two types of blood clotting disorder. The last week I have felt terrible!! I’m extremely weak, can’t sleep, fever (but goes away once I take my pain meds), hot and cold over and over thru the day, no energy to get out of bed! I truly feel like I’m wasting away, I feel terrible and don’t know what to do…..please help???

  1. hi
i can understand that you are feeling very weak and disturbed but these are not the typical signs of a typical septic shock syndrome. This may be due to the blood clotting disorder. You need to get your blood checked for bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time and INR.
Maintain hydration, keep drinking lots of fluids and fruit juices. Consult a ER
    thanks

  2. HI
HAVING A HEART RATE OF ABOVE 120-150 AT YOUR AGE IS NOT EXPECTED. THOUGH ANXIETY MAY BE RELATED BUT,CONSIDERING THAT YOU HAVE AN MVP,YOU SHOULD CONSULT A CARDIOLOGIST AND GET ECG / ECHO DONE.

THE KNOTS IN LEGS MAY BE EARLY VARICOSITY. GET A COLOUR DOPPLER OF THE LEGS DONE TO SEE FOR VASCULAR INSUFFICENCY

  3. hello there
though not a classical septic shock, but this may be the beginning. Get your blood checked and the discharge for culture and sensitivity to see if there are any organisms that may be responsible for fever. start on antibiotics as only pain medicines wont be enough to bring down the fever. You can get iv fluids if you are very much drained out

  4. Septic Shock (Sepsis) is the result of an infection, and causes drastic changes in the body. It can be very dangerous and potentially life-threatening.

It occurs when chemicals that fight infection by triggering inflammatory reactions are released into the bloodstream.

This does not look like Septic Shock
