I suffered a heart attack, a stent was implanted?

Five years back, I suffered a heart attack, a stent was implanted. Since then no problem. Recently, got routine pathological tests & ECHO done with all normal reports. I’m, however, advised for angiography whereas I’m interested in CT angiography, but I’m told that CT angiography can’t be done for stent implanted patients. Kindly comment.

  1. Hi..
CT Angiography is not contraindicated in patients having stents..
So first of all you should consult your Cardiologist and discuss about the cause of not advising CT Angiography..
So the procedure should be done once you get an assurance from your Cardiologist..

    Hope this helps..
