I started with fever, throat pain getting worse, worried my doctor not giving me right treatment
I’m a female 25 years old I’m normally healthy person. I started with fever on a Wednesday and severe headache. I went to the doctor they just gave me tylenol and ibuprofen. The next day I woke up with pain in my throat but I didn’t pay to much attention I was more worried with the fact that every 2 hours I was sweating and with fever. The next day, Friday it was bad . I wasn’t able to eat or to drink not even water. I started watching little white bumps in my throat. I went to the doctor again and now they added amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day. I’m just worried they are not giving me the correct treatment or diagnostic . My throat pain is getting worst every hour. I can’t even drink or swallow the pills .i feel I’m swallowing nails please help me what’s wrong with me thank you

amoxicillin is the correct treatment for your Streptococcus bacterial infection
I recommend you give treatment 7 days to work, if u want to be sure ask for bacterial culture

Calm down..you are getting a good treatment ..you have a throat infection..
Keep on your antibiotic course till the end of course and continue if needed..get paracetamol 1000mg every 6h -8h if you have fever..
Try salt water gargling (warm).
To soothe your pain .
Strepsils can also help you swallow better ..

its a severe form of infection.
Only amoxycillin won’t work.
you need to be started on a broad spectrum antibiotic,either oral or iv.
betadine gargles will help.
consult a ENT specialist.

U ll start feelinh good in the 3 rd day , not go worry, u can start with injections in the first 2 to 3 days 1gm every 12 hours if you can not swallow
Also listerine gargling will be great, take also paramol 1-2 tablets every 6 to 8 hours only if needed to subside the fever and pain
