I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease. Brain MRI shows white spots?
Hi, I am a 20 year old female. I have been having some interesting symptoms lately. I have Undifferentiated connective tissue disease. In August, I had a Brain MRI done. I see some white dots on the mri and was wondering if they are significant. Recently in the past 3 weeks, my arm has been going numb at night and my fingers on the right hand are spastic. They are seized up towards the palm of my hand. Any insight towards this mri would be great. I can only upload 1 picture but can upload more if needed. Thanks
In my opinion this looks like Multiple sclerosis
Also Undifferentiated connective tissue disease can be the cause if you experience other symptoms in other body systems
You will need further blood tests before your neurologist can confirm the cause
Also some vascular autoimmune disease can show white dots on brain mri
Good Luck
In my opinion your MRI according to this slide only is considered normal..
Others slides must be shown to make a diagnosis ..
The numbness and spasm in your hand at night could be due to nerve compression as you lye down on your right side..
Please let me know of other MRI slides shows any abnormality and what symptoms you are having accodrin to your connective tissue disease so we can figure out something.
hi
this can be a local presentation of a sustemic disease.
nerve compression, electrolyte imbalance need to be ruled out.
a whole body scan can help localise the primary lesion.
thanks
HI
THESE SPOTS ON MRI ARE NORMAL.
SPASMS AND NUMBNESS CAN BE DUE TO VITAMIN B6 AND B1 DEFICIENCY.
GET THESE BLOOD LEVELS CHECKED.
START ON VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS.
hello there
these white spots are neural canals with cerebrospinal fluid. these are normal.
may be u can post other mri slices where some abnormality can be picked up.
further blood investigations may be needed to decide future line of management
