I am a 56 year old female who has recently been experiencing numbness in my hands and feet, frequent urination, noticing a strange burning smell, forgetfulness and anxiety. I have been referred for a MRI scan of the brain and have received my report (attached). What is wrong with me?

Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
This report indicates a white matter ischaemic disease…you need to quit smoking if you do.keep any risk factors under control like diabetes.hypertension.atherosclerosis or high cholesterol …
And you must follow up with a neurologist to get treatment for any symptoms…
hi
the symptoms seem to be due to the white matter scattered lesions in the fronto-parietal lobe of the brain. These may have occured due to tiny blockages of the small blood vessels that are meant to supply blood to the brain substance. Nothing substantial to worry about. Consult a neurologist and you will be fine with medicines.
HI
FORGETFULLNESS AND NUMBNESS CAN BE THE EFFECT OF THE TINY LESIONS THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO BE PRESENT IN THE WHITE MATTER. IT IS NOT ANY ORGANIC LESION BUT SEEMS TO BE MORE RELATED TO YOUR PHYSIOLOGICAL AGEING PROCESS. FREQUENT URINATION NEEDS SEPARATE CONSIDERATION AND CONSULTATION FROM A NEPHROLOGIST
hello there
frequent urination with a stinking burning smell occurs in case you have a urinary tract infection. You need to drink large amount of water. A bladder wash may be useful. Regarding the other complaints, they seem to be related to the lesions that have been mentioned in the mri report, but they are not specific though. Neither you have any major disease inside the brain. You can contact a brain specialist and get medicines prescribed. You will be fine soon.
