I have knocked knees – no fix – or do I need surgery?

Hi there, I am 20 years old and have knocked knees(6-7cm
Gap between my feet) . From what I understand there is no fix for this without surgical means. I have no pain whatsoever. Would Osteotomy be recommended in my situation. In advising could you let me know the pros and cons.

  1. Hi
Knock knees at your age needs surgery to be cosmetically ok.
Otherwise you wont have any problems with your knees for atleast 30 years from now.
Surgery has only benefit of making the knee straight.
Otherwise there are anesthesia risks. Also making the bones weak..scars.. implant related problems are just a few cons.
    Better to avoid surgery.

  2. Would this sort of surgery not prevent issues in the long term such as arthritis?

  3. Hi
Opposite deformity known as genu varum causes arthritis in long run due to load on medial knee compartment.

Comparatively..Knock knees cause arthritis pretty rarely
