I have had a pain in my lower left quadrant of my stomach?

I am female 47. Have had hysterectomy. I have RR MS. I have had a pain in my lower left quadrant of my stomach. It started about 6-9 months ago. It never really bothered me too much before. I have so many weird unexplained pain due to my MS I ignore most things and they go away. This one is different. It is getting worse. It wakes me up at night. I feel it all the time now. I do have IBS. I know the differences with a flare up or being constipated. I exercise and am 5’6″ and 135 lbs. I don’t smoke and don’t drink alcohol. My GP put in for me to see gastro for a colonoscopy but it will be forever before i see one. What should I do?

  1. Hi
Was your hysterectomy including ovaries removal? Do you have rash or mouth ulcers? Are you under alot of stress lately?
I recommend urine analysis as a start
    I will expect your reply
    Good Luck

  2. hi,
this can be related to ovaries,or renal system.
before colonoscopy, i would recommended ultrasound scan of abdomen with renal function tests.
    anti-spasmodics will help.
    thanks

  3. Hi..

Pain in lower left quadrant can be due to stop ACH issues while kidney related problems like kidney stones can also be a cause..

IBS can also be a cause..

My suggestion is to go for Colonoscopy while a scan of complete abdomen can also be done for ruling out the cause, so that Treatment can be done..

    Hope this helps..

    Regards.

  4. I would like to know the details of your hystectomy.
What exactly was removed..is there any bleeding?
Is the pain aggravated by eating?
A stool and urine analysis are necessary..

  5. I recommend you to do the usual workup routine investigation , and pelviabdominal US…

And I would like to ask the same questions like my colleague Dr Ahmed has asked you

    Waiting for your reply
    🙂
