I have erythrophobia (the fear of blushing), what can I do?
hi, i suffer from erythrophobia (the fear of blushing) which means that i have social anxiety. it results in me drinking faster to avoid a blushing episode and it is just a vicious circle. are there any things that i could do or medication i could take to help?
Drugs used to treat erythrophobia help to control blushing by reducing anxiety. In severe cases, drug treatment with beta blockers or SSRI inhibitors may be recommended. Often, drug treatment is recommended in together with counselling as a way to break the cycle, so that you can control excessive blushing without the use of drugs after a time.
hi
this is genetic disorder that occurs due to an overactive sympathetic nervous system combined with fear/anxiety. if its in early stages, you can just be cured by a counseller. else, you should consult psychiatrist and start appropriate anti-sympathetic medicines
thanks
HI
U NEED TO GROW URSELF IN CONFIDENCE. SPEAK TO PEOPLE AROUND YOU,SOCIALISE, RELAX WITH FRIENDS. GO ON VACATION. YOGA,EXERCISES AND MEDITATION WILL BENEFIT YOU TO SOME EXTENT
hello there
as this is a genetically related issue, permanent cure is not possible. counselling and help from a psychiatrist are recommended. taking regular medicines can get things under control
