I have been experiencing very shallow breathing, shivers, legs feel numb?

Hi! I am a 20 year old female. Lately I have been experiencing very shallow breathing. Additionally, my face starts to shiver, my eyes twitch uncontrollably, my hands tremor, my legs feel numb, my lip pulls to a certain side and I have difficulty speaking. I have been feeling very dizzy lately and I also experience extreme vertigo sometimes.

I have been to a doctor during last week. She just took one look at me and said that I am stressed out, which makes no sense at all! I am not stressed, panicked, nervous or anxious whatsoever. I am a very chilled and relaxed person, plus, I am currently on holiday. So I literally have nothing to stress or worry about.

  1. In my opinion you should go for an EEG for a possibility of epileptic seizures.
    A neurologist can diagnose this.
Other wise stress and panic may cause this also ..
    Thanks

  2. You should seek neurology specialist ASAP
Those are red flags ma’ am

At the same time , do the following tests
    CBC
    RBS
    THYROID FUNTION TESTS

Update me with any new events

  3. hi
this may be due to low calcium and vitamin B12.
also some hormonal changes at your age can cause these symptoms.
i would suggest you to get your blood profile checked in detail to find out the exact reason.
    thanks

  4. In my opinion first you need to Do an MRI to make sure your brain is fine
Then you need to investigate the possibilities of having Guillain-Barré syndrome , multiple sclerosis or lyme disease
Test for IgM, IgG ,and do a spinal fluid test

Only if you role out all those possibilities , then you can consider psychological problems

    Goid Luck
