My name is (… female) 33 years old,I have asthma and I take ventolin inhaler and seretide inhaler,been having difficulty in breathing for 10 weeks and a constant cough for 6 months with clear phlemg,walking or climbing stairs make it worse,my chest is very wheeze and been admitted 1 with a bad attack and I was given nebuliser and oxygen and antibiotics due to infection and then I went see my gp and she prescribed more antibiotics and steroids as the infection had not cleared I took the full course and now I’m still coughing up yellow phlegm and now i have constant pain in left side and sleeping at night is terrible cause I’m finding it difficult to breathe,please help I’m at my wits end cause I don’t know what is wrong with me xx

you still seem to be in bronchospasm.
this can be reactive wind pipe spasm or some remnant infection.
get a ct chest done to rule out these possibilites.
bronchodilators can help.

SOME SORT OF RESPIRATORY INFECTION SEEMS TO BE PRESENT CAUSING THESE SYMPTOMS.
BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIBIOTICS WILL WORK.
CONSULT A PULMONOLOGIST AND GET A SPIROMETRY TEST DONE.
For me I think you might be experiencing complicated infection in lung that caused pleurisy ..
A sputum culture is needed to show which bacteria is it and what antibiotic is suitable for its treatment..
Later.. Breathing exercises and avoiding cold air is going to help.using also spirometer can help increase your lung capacity.
A cup of coffee in the morning after a small meal is good for helping bronchospasm.
Reduce carbs intake.
This is pleurisy
I recommend you see a pumonologist
You have no serious infection
Yellow phlegm is a good sign

lung consolidation secondary to incompletely treated infection seems to be the cause.
get ct chest with contrast done.
deep breathing exercises will help.
steroids and bronchodilators can be used.
