I had tummy tuck 2 years ago , now I got recurrent abdominal pain due to gall stones and I need cholecystectomy, Is it possible to be done by laparoscopy through the umbilicus or I have to have it by traditional open long scar ? and what is expected of complications ?. thank you very much.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy leaves only 1 cm scar , you can ask doctor to make the incesion site cosmetic
Do not worry about complications if your doctor is a proffesional
Good Luck
No complications and do not worry it can be done by laporoscopic methods with a small incision.
hi
if properly performed ,laparoscopic surgery is the best option.
less scar,but difficult to perform.
depends on the skill and expertise of the doctor.
thanks
HI
ITS POSSIBLE THRU LAPAROSCOPY.
BUT OPEN SURGERIES LEAVE A BIG SCAR AND HAS OTHER COMPLICATIONS AS WELL AND GENERALLY IS OUTDATED NOW.
hello there
both the operations have pro and cons.
laparoscopy leaves a negligible scar, less anesthesia risks, dificult to execute.
open surgery carries more risk, big scar but easy to perform.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is now recieving a universal acceptance,
2 incisions.. 5mm to 15 mm each
30 mins duration
Made by high skilled surgeons
After surgery…you ll be transferred to the postanesthesia care unit, and monitored for 4-6 hours and u can be discharged home with a combination oral pain medication containing acetaminophen and an opiate
Best regards
