I developed severe tendinitis in my neck, I had a bump the size of two tennis balls on my head?

Hi, 4 months ago I sustained a bad concussion after a metal access door fell about 13 feet from the ceiling and onto my head. I developed severe tendinitis in my neck from this, currently undergoing physical therapy for it, but I have seen absolutely no improvement from the head pains, and the fatigue. Very small activities that used to be very normal for me, now take a lot of energy and ultimately leave me in bed rest for the rest of the day. I took a CT scan the day of the incident in the hospital. I had a bump the size of two tennis balls on my head which went away. But now the question is, why are my pains as bad as when I got hit? I’m a 21 year old female. No prior medical problems at all.

  1. Hi and welcome to careproper.com
Probably the head concussion caused a cervical vertebrae compression or may be impacted your many more of your vertebral column..
This will leave you always feeling muscle aches and tiredness ..
That is going to heal with physical therapy and strengthening exercises.
Get a xray for your neck .

  2. Lesion to C1/2 disc space cause headache on the back of your head
If this is the headache area then you should have an MRI on your neck

  3. hi,
though the bumps have resolved, the soft tissue inflammation has turned into tendinitis. if routine medicines aren’t helping , local steroid injections will be helpful.
    thanks
