I developed pneumonia, wheezing, doctors don’t know what is wrong?

In October of 2015, I developed pneumonia. After that, I developed a intermittent wheeze. Since then, I have had pneumonia two more times. I have a history of smoking, I am a 32 year old male, and I have no pain or discomfort. I only have wheezing (more of a rattling) that only occurs a few times a week, no shortness of breath, no pain or tightness in the chest, and white to yellow mucous that is produced when I do cough, which usually occurs only when I wheeze. Albuterol inhalers seem to work, but the doctors don’t seem tow know what is wrong. I have had pneumonia 3 times. I take Lunesta, Prazosin, Celexa, and Welbutrin.

  1. Were u a heavy smoker?
Is there any one in your family asthmatic or had COPD chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, .have you been subjected to any lung irritants,
When do u need to cough more , or wheezes are obvious ,at the morning or the evening, what increases what decreases it, ??

    U need to do spirometry

  2. Spirometry and chest x ray are recommended

  3. Recurrent pneumonia is usually caused by non completed treatment t courses or resistant bacteria ..
In my opinion you may have developed chronic bronchitis …
Stop any smoking and avoid allergens..
See a pulmonologist for regular follow ups concerning the treatment changes..

  4. Hi
In my opinion you could have Bronchiectasis, or it can be side effects from Hypertension drugs and the antidepressants.
I recommend a A chest computed tomography and consulting you psychiatrist
    Good Luck

  5. hi,
this seems to be a chronic lung disease like bronchiectasis or lung consolidation.
Need to get a chest Xray PA view and a HRCT chest.
Lung spirometry will help assess the lung function.
    Consult a pulmonologist.
    Thanks
