Felt dizzy, pain in left arm, high b/p, fast heartbeat, rushed to hospital?
I am a 23 year old female, taking zolaire treatment for allergies, and having eating disorder (binge eating). Yesterday, felt weak all of a sudden, almost fainted, with pain and pressure in left arm. High BP 150/100, heart rate 120. went to hospital had 2 electrocardiograms, blood tests (including heart and anemia) all normal. Checked for Pulmonary embolism – all OK. Blood pressure is now more or less back to normal. But heart rate still at 110, I have terrible headache and still feel dizzy and faint. Doctors don’t know the cause. What can it be? and what tests should I do next?
I would ask for a stress ECG ..check cholesterol level.
Those symptoms if not cardiac then it would be due to stress or anxiety hypertension..
You can also get checked for cortisol hormone level and thyroid functions.
Your symptoms can be caused by eating large amounts of meat ,
Also can be caused by stress ir depression
I recommend consulting you psychiatrist
these symptoms appear to be a mix of cardiac related causes compounded by anxiety .
a detailed 2 D echo scan, treadmill test can help you rule out cardiac causes.
consult a cardiologist.
yoga and meditation can help you calm down your anxiety
THIS SEEMS TO BE A TRANSIENT ANXIETY ATTACK.
SUCH ATTACKS DO OCCUR AND HAVE TEMPORARY EFFECTS.
YOU SHOULD GET HORMONAL TESTS DONE TO RULE OUT HORMONAL DISTURBANCES.
if all cardiac tests have been normal, then you need to rulke out a neuropathic pain.
take methycobal tablets. pheochromocytoma needs a consideration.
consult a endocrinologist
