Hi and welcome to question doctors.com
Actually the size of the cysts is big enough so the surgery is indicated if the cysts do not respond to treatment after 2-3months as this may have a lot of complications on her ovaries and fertility…
ovarian cysts of this size do not resolve with medicines usually. rarely they respond to medicines. surgery has to be performed ,better to get the cysts removed by laparoscopic method instead of open surgery.
malignancies should be ruled out.
ITS A SIGNIFICANT SIZED CYST,IN BOTH THE OVARIES. TAKING MEDICINES AND GETTING THE ULTRASOUND REPEATED AFTER 15 DAYS WILL GIVE A CLUE AS TO WHETHER ITS RESPONDING TO MEDICINES. BUT,IN MAJORITY OF CASES,SURGERY IS REQUIRED
these ovarian cysts have to be operated. not getting them operated may cause them to increase in size and in long run can cause infertility. get it operated and the tissue should be sent for histopathology to rule out malignancy
