Diagnosed with Patella Alta ratio 1.7, is surgery only option?
Diagnosed with Patella Alta ratio 1.7.
Looking to seek more advise on it as I am booked in for surgery and could possibly be out of work for up to 8 months. Is surgery the only option after 3 kneecap dislocations and 3 years of physical therapy
A long way you have taken..have you tried kinesiotaping? If yes then I think surgery is the last and only option now ..

In my opinion 1.7 ratio can only be treated by surgery, sorry but i see no other option

yes, such high ratios will hardly benefit by conservative means.
by getting a surgery done,your knee will benefit to a large extent in long run.
